Christmas cruising 2016 north along the Great Barrier Reef aboard Toot, a 21’ Hartley trailer sailer converted to a pocket cruiser. Complete with new auto helm, solar panel, 100lt pressurised fresh water, rewired with LED throughout, new upholstery and new 2 pack epoxy finish, she really is a gem. A 10mm aluminium ‘foot’ has been, screwed, glassed and faired along the full length of the keel to enable Toot to take the ground allowing for extended exploration in even the most fickle tides and diverse bottom conditions. With a brand new twin axle trailer, full set of sails including spinnaker and self furler she is a delight to sail and as you can see, boasts a great turn of speed – 7.5kts on a beam reach.
