I returned to the off grid solar panel installation I am hooking up for my friend in Australia. This time I worked on setting up the wiring nicely.

In the mean time the box has been painted and moved to a new location under the porch roof. This mean wiring the solar panels again but now the box looks much better.

I ran the wires up along the rafters of the porch and out underneath the beams to the solar panels which are laying on the porch roof.

I also cut some boards which fit across two solar panels. Then the boards were screwed to the back of the panels to form a solid framed pair of solar panels. There are two pairs. If needed the owner can grab a pair of solar panels and take them with him for camping trips. When returning to his home he can simply screw the panels back into the junction box.

The junction box is simply a pair of screw terminal strips. One for the positive line and one for the negative terminal.
