We couldn’t get this commercial vertical axis wind turbine to spin in any wind, including our wind tunnel. We formatted a hybrid solar photovoltaic dome for the top, and added a brushelss DC motor,
and fixed it to a stationary point. (there is an “arbor” connected to a brushless DC motor inside the dome and connected above to a deck railing- as shown in our patents granted) You will be amazed by the difference, that the addition of solar cells can make to get a wind turbine spinning.
