The app can be used to activate irrigation systems, check on temperatures within a greenhouse or inquire on water levels within the reservoir tank through SMS, Bluetooth or by tweeting to the garden.
Pump used is an affordable solar water pump being developed by Hansel Wangara which will cost less than Kshs. 10,000 as compared to Kshs. 27,000 for the cheapest solar water pump currently available in the market. The pump is still under development.
