During below average solar periods, the TEG is set to run when the battery power state of charge is below 50%. During these periods the TEG becomes the primary source of power to any critical site equipment. Once the solar conditions improve and the batteries are at a healthy state of charge the TEG will shutoff to conserve fuel.
