Solar Hybrid System – Video Series (1/3): Average Sun

This is a series of three photovoltaic (PV) Power simulations. Average, above average and below average solar radiation scenarios are shown to demonstrate the effect on batteries and the use of TEGs (Thermoelectric Generators) to support the PV Power system when needed.
Average Sun:
Industrial PV Power generation systems are typically designed for average solar radiation based on that particular site’s location. Batteries are used to store power and support the system when the solar radiation is lacking. The deeper a battery is discharged the shorter its operating life. TEGs can be connected to the system and set to run when the battery power drops below 50% state of charge to extend battery life.
