Polymer solar cells could be a cheap and portable source of energy – but the polymers separate just like oil and vinegar. My research applies concepts learned in our daily lives to alleviate these mixing issues to increase the lifetime of polymer solar cells. These improvements could help propel these portable solar cells into many commercial applications including camping and remote power stations.
