While we’ve found an excellent method to maintaining the water in our diy hot tub, it’s still a wise idea to replace the water every now and then! In a perfect world, we’d replace the water every few months or so. Three months is what we did the first time around and it was a good length of time. However, winter snuck up on us and so did the drain freezing, so we had to go six months or longer! It’s okay, the water really wasn’t THAT nasty, but we are happy to have sparkling clean water again.
