Additional tips from the experts at Greenshine New Energy:
Wait six days before erecting the poles: three days should suffix, but we recommend six as an added precaution.
If the batteries are located underground, ensure you have installed the tube for the wiring of the batteries, before you get started.
Ask your supplier to send the J-bolts (steel bars that are put inside the concrete foundation – four units per foundation) in advance (before receiving the poles). This way you have time to make the foundation without having to store the poles and solar lighting accessories. There is an extra cost, but it is worth it organization wise.
If you are not sure about the concrete foundation size that is required, ask a local engineer to make a geological survey.
A good tip as described in the video is to use two wooden bars to hold the template horizontally while pouring the concrete inside the hole. This will give you a stable alignment of the bolts once the concrete is set, making the installation of the pole easier.
Protect the threading on the J-bolts from getting some concrete on them. If the threading is damaged you will not be able to install the poles and screw the nuts on them.
