Ginlong grid-tie inverter offers separate Wifi stick connecting with RS485 interface, following features could benefit both distributor, installers and end users,
1. This gives end user an option, the inverter cost will be lower if they don’t need the Wifi stick,
2. The Wifi part is actually an easy-damage part, normally the wifi part vendor provide only 2-3 years warranty (the build-in Wifi is same), but over 95% of PV inverter sold in Europe offers 5 years warranty, so if the separate Wifi stick damaged after 3 year service, end user could just replace a new one by himself, so there is basically no cost to installers or distributors.
3. If any inverter with a damaged build-in wifi after 3 years service, installer has to replace a complete inverter, which is more expensive for shipment, furthermore, authorized electrician has to be paid again for reconnecting the inverter to grid, which gives potential extra after sales cost to both installers and distributors.
