Everywhere I say polycristalline I mean: amorphous. I bought 4 (Chinese?) 1 small LED solar lanterns today (3 may 2013) at the so called “Blokker” Shop (Netherlands). They used polycristalline Silicium cells (completely made on a glass substrate, approx. 2 mm thickness) that delivered 2.5 Volt at approx. 10 mA each (shortcut current 20 mA). Price: 2 Euro’s each. An interesting circuit to do experiments.
