The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, 50 km south of Dubai, will be the largest solar park in region. ABB has built a substation for the major utility company, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority. It is the first 400-kilovolt substation in the region that will connect renewable energy to the transmission grid, potentially providing enough electricity to power more than 30,000 homes or 130,000 people.
