We want to become part of a greener world by supplying components that help renewable energies to become efficient and competitive. So how do we do this?
Just to give you an example, the average output of a solar panel is about 260 watts. We have products in our range that increase the output to more than 270 watts. Which makes a huge difference. Well, our goal is to help our customers who manufacture solar panels to become more competitive versus other forms of energy.
So one example for innovation at 3M is the development of a film for flexible solar panels, which can serve as a replacement for standard glass solar panels. And these flexible solar panels can be installed virtually anywhere. Our goal remains to help renewable energies to become the number one form of energy for future generations.
