This video spans a period of time of about 6 months. This is another very important step in our goal of living off grid – but not necessarily roughing it. This solar electric system consists of an Outback Radian 8048A 8000 watt 48 volt inverter, a GSLC175-120/240 Load Center, 2 Outback FM80 Charge Controllers, an Outback Mate3 Controller, a Midnight Solar MNP12 Combiner Box, Midnight Solar DC Lightning Arrestors and 24 Trina Solar 260 Watt Polycrystalline Solar Panels. It also consists of 2 Power Fab Top Of Pole 12 Panel Solar Panel Mounts. The battery storage is provided by 2 sets of 24 Volt 1500 Amp Hour (at 20 hour rating) Used Fork Lift Batteries – part number 12-125-17. I went over things pretty fast but there are many videos on YouTube that explain solar equipment in great detail. But, if you have any questions I’ll try my best to answer them.
