For about $25 I made a small outdoor solar combiner box for my 4 panels at 7amps each.. this can hold up to panels at 30 amps per circuit inbound and uses an automotive 12v rated ATC fuse panel..
Parts listing with numbers at the end of the video.. PV/Solar panels should be fused to isolate the panels prior to going to the charge controller.. some videos show just bussbars and no fuses.. thats no good.. for an extra $11 over them you can build this.. YMMV.. Use at own risk.. you will need a dremel to modify the front 2 corners of the 6 ATC panel to fit better into the Double Gang box if you use that type/size.. The other option is INLINE ATC fuse holder with leads for you panels for about $4.. Either option with fusing saves you headache.. and about $70 over the BRAND NAME combiners.
