Do this at your own risk. You can easily solar charge your lithium ion 18650 batteries with a proprietary battery box. I use a 5 volt 500ma solar panel and a USB voltage booster as a power source. Just plug one end into the USB output at the solar panel and plug the other end into the mini USB port of the battery box. The battery indicator turns red to indicate charge and green when done. All the components are available on ebay for a few dollars.
