Chemistry is mobilizing for the future: smart and BASF jointly developed the concept car smart forvision. It combines unique design with innovative technologies related to energy efficiency, lightweight design, solar cells and temperature management: A car full of strong ideas.
The organic dye solar cells are built into the smart forvision’s roof. They convert sunlight to energy, in that way maximizing energy efficiency in the car. The OLED-OPV sandwich roof is transparent. Daylight enters the interior and is converted at once to energy through the organic solar cells. The organic dye solar panels add a special touch to the design of the smart forvision, with their eye-catching hexagonal shape. The color scheme doesn’t know any limits.
