Our off grid solar and wind DC internal wiring overview explained.

This is a video about how we wired up our solar and wind to the Off grid Cabin. This is a very basic explanation. Its a overview with minor technical descriptions on how different components are hooked together and a brief description of how it all works. The more detailed video I will have to break up into a short series and will be working on that over the next few days. Hope you can understand this video.
We are running a 12 volt system at this time.
we are using sets of 6 volt 210 amp hour Energizer Golf cart batteries wired series paralel to create 2 x 12 volt batteries with 420 amp hours
Our panels are 24 volt 250 watt panel fed into a MPPT charge controller made by midnite Solar. Ours is a Midnite solar 150 classic
We purchased our solar world solar panels, midnite solar classic 150 and some wiring, breakers fuses from Northern Arizona Wind and Sun http://www.solar-electric.com/
Our wind Turbine is a 800 watt 12 volt Rebel from MWAS with a charge controller and dump load. http://www.mwands.com/
Our 12 volt inverter is 1500 / 3000 watt older model. We havent installed the new 24 volt yet. Will do that later once we have the cabin completed and all power system components in place.
Our cabin runs on 120 volt AC just like any normal house in the USA. We just get the 120 volt from the sun and wind through a battery bank and inverter.

Thanks for watching and God Bless. Please Comment, like, share favorite.
