I just finished testing my solar generator and it worked perfectly as planned… I did the calculations, got the required size solar panel, got a charge controller, a deep cycle battery and used an old UPS as an inverter. Although 90% of my lights are already 12v, there are still a few using 220v which will be changed soon….. All worked out well on the test. I did a few amp draw tests to calculate exactly what each room uses over a period of time, so now I can go ahead and make it a permanent assembly.
