Our dream has normally been to retire to a home in the nation, fully off the grid, sothat we could master to manage our personal existence. Deliver the electrical power that we take in. Capture the rainwater that we will need. And grow the food that we take in.
But when we identified this home, we realised
- “Why hold out until eventually we retire? Let’s do it Now, whilst we can still take pleasure in the journey!”.
So in 2013, we moved our compact spouse and children from an innner metropolis townhouse, to a 1/2 acre home, fully Off The Grid. We had No Strategy what we ended up in for. The initially six months ended up the hardest. Electric power, h2o and heating challenges. In the middle of winter season, with a newborn little one.

Two a long time undoubtedly has taught us alot about who we are, and out area on this earth And what it Truly usually takes to stay with out suckling on the Beauracratic and Corporate teats of our civilisation.
