Nanosolar Nanocell Flexible DIY Solar Cell Test for Power Output

Nansolar Nanocell Flexible Solar Cells: http://www.recycledgoods.com/nanosolar-nanocell-2-6-watt-flexible-cigs-solar-cell-lot-of-10-26-watts.html Testing output of cells in partial sun. These cells were assembled using double sided conductive copper tape.

This string of 10 solar cells output about 5 volts at 2 amps. These are the most robust flexible CIGS solar cell ever made. The cost to engineer and develop these cells was nearly a half a Billion dollars.

I spoke to the engineers who made them and it took over 70 manufacturing steps to make and a team of 50 people.

The facility devoted to making these cells encompassed over 200,000 square feet and the basic cost of the machinery was nearly a quarter of a billion dollars.

All that is left of this technology are these cells which as you can see are very robust at 2.6 watts per cell they really perform for a flexible lightweight basically unbreakable solar cell.

We have these for sale in limited quantities on our website. These were the final cells made at the Nanosolar factory in San Jose California. These are some of the highest performing cells that Nanosolar made as these were made in test batches attempting to maximize the efficiency of the cells which were averaging about 12-13 percent at the time.
