Installing your own solar grid connected system is frowned apon in Australia and Commercially installed systems are poor value to Australian energy users.
The excess energy generated is bought off you, at 8 cents, while energy purchased in, is sold to you at 23-27 cents. The power company making a proffit off your hard work.
DIY installations sell power at the same price it is purchased at.
DIY installations are the only option available to renters.
