50w Solar panel connected to computer tower which holds inside 42ah of 12v batteries in parallel so thats 6 x 7Ah 12v batteries plenty of power to run many things most of the night. inside the computer tower is 10A solar controller 12v 3w led light connected to load on controller and step down 12v to 5v USB out put to charges phones radios etc. i have four 5.5mm 12v output connectors direct to the batteries to run either 12v 8.4w fan or 12v 3w led light etc in the video im using 2 connectors which leaves me 2 spare connectors to run other stuff. i used 6mm ply wood as it was easier to mount stuff to the face of the tower all positive wires have 5A fuse connected for zero chance of fire or short circuit. Im not an electrician more of a wannabe. tower was free and batteries were pass down from friends and family and really you can use any size you want. connectors were $3 ebay solar panel $80 ebay $8 red and black wires from bunnings hardware store solar controller came with panel plywood $7 12v fan ebay $20 led light ebay $10 includes leadlight so you can easily build small power system for under $150 and have off grid power all year round. this was purpose built for my out door needs up to you how you want to build your some people may want to add 240v inverter. i have no power where i want the fan and light and it would have cost $250 plus to get outdoor power plug set up this was a cheap and fun alternative and long term money saver. ask me any questions happy to help
