For investers, PV producers and possible customers, the life span of thin movie Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) photo voltaic cells is incredibly significant. On the other hand, the latest tests requirements are not optimized for this new type of PV. We suggest a ‘hybrid’ degradation set up, in which humidity, temperature and illumination are all applied as loads in buy to accelerate degration of CIGS cells or modules. Through degradation, the set up also determines the IV-output of the samples, so the detoriation is completely monitored.
