My wife and I made a 5 gallon bucket AC without glue or tape. We thought it was important to be able to remove the PVC pipes so we could store it without PVC pipes sticking out and so we could clean and or dry between the insert and bucket when finished to prevent mold and bad smell when running. Also, it would be nice to be able to replace the insert should it crack. We figured out the trim measurements just right so everything fits nice and tight. We used a plastic trim to do this. We also used the trim to better seal the fan to the bucket lid. It helps with vibration noise as well. Thank you for watching my how to make a 5 gallon bucket air conditioner AC!
