Heating water with solar energy from via magnum inverters. Perfect example of opportunity load water heating for off grid solar PV systems. With off grid solar PV systems, once batteries are charged and loads are being powered, excess solar energy is available to heat water. We swapped out 4500 watt the elements in this water heat for lower wattage 1500 watt elements. The water heater only comes on when the solar is done absorb charging.
