DIY Solar Panel Back Encapsulation

I made my own 10W solar panel from solar cells that I cut into small pieces by hand. It worked pretty well at first, but then the back encapsulating epoxy abruptly and forcefully pulled away from the glass somehow. My theory is that the air trapped between the glass and the solar cells encapsulated by the epoxy must have expanded due to high heat, creating a high internal pressure — enough to blast the epoxy right off the glass in order to let that hot air escape. This resulted in several cells being broken into even smaller pieces, turning my 10W solar panel into garbage.
