And I probably told 2,000, people before Old Mate built the 1st Copycat… Which he fitted 2 years after he saw the Mk 1.
A Licenced Automotive BodyBuilder quoted me $700 to replicate, in Shiny Pop-Rivets & Aluminium, what I did to a Solar-Panel to make the Mk 3… Today I bought the Wood for the Mk 5. It cost me $17.10 for 6 bits of Pine, a metre long, 35mm by 90mm.
Old mate said $21, for the Wood, the Glue, the Paint & Screws ; & an hour of a Competant Carpenter’s time, in a good Workshop, spread out over a Week, to let the Paint & Glue dry… A $100 job.
I’m not a trained Chippie, and my Workshop is “Rustic” ; so, we’ll see ?!
