Over the years I have collected up these led driveway/accent lights. It usally takes them only about 2 yrs before they quit working. I got 3 tips to make these $1.00 led lights last a long time.
1. glue the stake in.
2. automotive polish or plastic black out the solar panel.
3.ebay or amazon the 2/3 AA (high milli-amp) battery. Look for the ones with tabs, there cheaper than the button top battery.
Yes these batterys will wear out eventually too. But with the knowledge you have here now you can make these last many many years, just by replacing the battery!
PS: when installing the battery in the case, take the red protective sheath off and double bend the tab so it makes good (+) contact.
