44% efficiency is possible when these thin film perovskite solar cells are combined with silicon solar panels to make a hybrid solar system. Perovskite solar technology is cheap to manufacture and can be done on an industrial scale as well. With 30 to 40 percent efficient solar panels around the corner, this could single a huge growth in the solar energy industry.
